The Mad Cows is the EUI’s female five-a-side soccer team.

To join the team you do not need any soccer skills; we play just for fun and absolute beginners are warmly welcomed. Playing with the Mad Cows is a nice way to do some sport and meet new people to share some beers with. The trainings take place at least once a week on the pitch at Villa Schifanoia (Departments of Law and History). The training will be Mondays, starting around 7 pm. Depending on interest and demand, we may schedule additional training sessions on Wednesdays and/or during the weekends. We will adapt throughout the season using Doodle to ensure that you can all join. The members of the Mad Cows come from all environments and nationalities: EUI researchers from all departments, partners, members of the staff and people from outside the EUI world.

Last year a lot of girls joined the team. We are sure that this year will be an equal success, and, if this will be the case, we would like also to take part in a Florentine tournament. We did so in the past and it was a lot of fun. However, joining the trainings does not have to be accompanied by participation in the tournament.
