Lenita Freidenvall
Lenita Freidenvall is Senior Lecturer in Political Science at Stockholm University, specialising in political representation, candidate selection and gender quotas, and Co-Director of the Women in Politics Research Network. She is author of Vägen till Varannan damernas [Every Other Ones for the Ladies] (2006), “Quotas as a Fast Track to Equal Representation of Women” in International Feminist Journal of Politics (2005, with Drude Dahlerup) and “Judging Gender Quotas: Predictions and Results” in Policy & Politics (2010, with Drude Dahlerup), as well as the author of ”Why not Corporate Gender Quotas in Sweden?” in Representation (2013, with Hanna Hallonsten) and “Gender Quotas and Ethnic Minority Representation in Sweden“ in Politics and Gender (2015, with Olle Folke and Johanna Rickne). She is editor of European Women’s Movements and Body Politics. The Struggle for Autonomy (2015, with Joyce Outshoorn, Radka Dudova and Ana Prata), Comparison, Quotas and Critical Change (2012, with Michele Micheletti), Politik och Kritik [Politics and Critique: A Feminist Guide to Political Science] (2011, with Maria Jansson) and Bortom Rösträtten [Beyond Suffrage] (2011, with Josefin Rönnbäck), and is currently working on a project on the Swedish political party the Feminist Initiative and intersectional political representation.
