Sabine Lang
Sabine Lang is Associate Professor of International and European Studies at the H.M. Jackson School of International Studies of the University of Washington. She received her PhD in Political Science at the Free University in Berlin and has held previous teaching positions at the University of Leipzig and at the J. F. Kennedy-Institute of the Free University Berlin, Germany. From 1990 to 1994 she was Director of the Public Affairs Department and the Executive Office of the State Secretary for Labor and Women’s Issues in Berlin.
Sabine Lang is book review editor of the journal Politics & Gender and is on the editorial board of femina politica and German Studies Review. Her areas of research are gender politics and comparative politics with an emphasis on NGOs and transnational movements. Her latest book NGOs, Civil Society, and the Public Sphere was published by Cambridge University Press in 2013.
