Sarah Childs

Sarah Childs is Professor of Politics at the University of Bristol, UK.

She has published widely on gender and party politics in the UK, the Westminster Parliament, as well as conceptual work on critical mass and substantive representation.

2014 saw the publication of two edited books (with Campbell and Celis respectively): Deeds and Words, and Gender, Conservatism and Political Representation

She is currently working on women’s parliamentary bodies, and class, gender and representation.
