This exhibition was organised at the occasion of the international conference “The building of a European civil society in the context of equality between women and men – The legacy of Fausta Deshormes la Valle”, hosted by the Historical Archives of the European Union on 25 September 2015. The files from the fonds ‘Femmes d’Europe’ and the private fonds of Fausta Deshormes La Valle highlight, amongst others, the creation of a unit on “Press and female associations” in the European Commission and the Ruling of the European Court of Justice reaffirming the right to equal working conditions for women and men in the European Economic Community.
