The 2023 series of Library Research Skills sessions are delivered by Library Information Specialists. Most of the sessions are hybrid so you can join in person or online.

How to avoid plagiarism: tools, tips and Turnitin

This 90-minute session is intended to make you aware of the institutional definition of plagiarism and how it is applied. You will also have the chance to apply Turnitin software to screen your own work before submitting it. Finally, we will discuss some of the wider issues concerning plagiarism in the field of legal studies and practice.

This workshop is highly recommended for 1st year researchers, but everyone is welcome to attend.

Zotero for Lawyers

In this interactive session you will learn how to manage legal sources (case law, legislation, treaties, etc.) in Zotero, how to cite legal documents using your preferred legal citation style, and how to create a bibliography.
