Cross-National Data Centre platform now compatible with R statistical programme and graphics
The Cross-National Data Centre has released a guide to using the data programme R with the LISSY data access platform (Luxembourg). The Cross-National Data Center provides internationally-comparative data on income, inequality, employment and expenditure at individual and household levels. (The LISSY data access system already supports Stata, SAS and SPSS.) Full details of how to use R for access to Cross-National Data Centre resources are in this guide. Users of the LIS and LWS databases are reminded that it is necessary to re-register for access at the beginning of each year.
The Cross-National Data Centre has also announced the release of new data waves from Colombia, Spain and Taiwan. The Columbian dataset is from the January 2014 Great Integrated Household Survey; the Spanish dataset is from the 2014 Living Conditions Survey; and the Taiwanese dataset is from the 2013 Survey of Family Income and Expenditure.
