Complete digitisation of the Bulletin Quotidien Europe

A- A A+

Following an agreement with Agence Europe signed on 12 July 2018, the European University Institute Library has digitised and published online an archive of about 40 years of Bulletin Quotidien Europe (French edition), from 1953 to 1999 as well as the Europe Daily Bulletin (English edition), from 1979 to 1999. Researchers and historians have now digital access to over 150 thousand pages of searchable full-text facsimiles of Bulletins and Supplements published by Agence Europe between 1953 and 1999.

For the European University Institute Library this is an outstanding achievement. Two reasons for this: first, it provides researchers a complete coverage and access to an unmatched source of information with news, interviews, documents, editorials and in-depth analysis of European Union institutions, activities and policies. Furthermore, the digitisation allowed to preserve, as well as to complete, the one and only paper copy of the Bulletin Quotidien Europe held by Agence Europe, after its print inventory of back issues was destroyed in a warehouse fire.

Content and Structure: Browse through volumes and digital files (pdfs) via the Historical Archives of the European Union platform. Clicking on the desired year will expand to show months and issues. On the right hand side, at the bottom of the page Login (EUI users) and/or Register (external users) to access digital files.

Conditions of Access and Use:  Digitised volumes are available for research or private study as a text readable pdf to authorised and/or registered users. Optical Character Recognition (OCR) allows for text to be easily searched, copied, edited, and/or used for computational text analysis methods. Download of digital content is limited.
