New Wave of German SOEP micro data now available at the EUI, and new access instructions.
The 2013 (Wave 29) of German Socio-Economic Panel data from the DIW, Berlin, is available to registered EUI members from 18 November. Because DIW no longer issues the DVD version, the data is on the Library restricted data server. Scholars who have already registered under the EUI-DIW contract do not need to re-register: simply request the password from [email protected]. First time users will need to register via the Library G-SOEP resource page.
The German Socio-Economic Panel (G-SOEP) is a longitudinal survey of approximately 11,000 private households in the Federal Republic of Germany from 1984 to 2012, and eastern German länder from 1990 to 2012. G-SOEP is produced by DIW Berlin. Variables include household composition, employment, occupations, earnings, health and satisfaction indicators.
