Horizon 2020 Work Programme II funding breakout (2016-17) announced by European Commission

The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation published details of the €16 billion, second work programme of EU Horizon 2020 funding (2016-17) on 13 October. Full details of the Europe in a Changing World: inclusive, innovative and reflective societies tranche (Funding for Societal Challenges) have also been made available. The Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme was launched in 2014 with a total value of €77 billion.
In line with the European Commission’s Open Innovation and Open Science initiative, research outputs will be made available on an open basis, where possible.
