New EUROLAB Data Mission Grants

Social scientists working on socio-economic topics can apply for one-month funded missions to the GESIS data archive and library (Mannheim and Cologne). The closing date for applications is 15 October 2019, for visits to be undertaken any time in 2020. During their stay, visiting scholars will be assigned an individual workspace and can discuss data elaboration techniques with GESIS archive staff. Deadline for EUROLAB Research Data Missions (Cologne): 15 December

GESIS, the German social sciences’ research service, invites applications for individual research visits to the EUROLAB data facility, Cologne from scholars using European micro data. The closing date for funding support is 15 December. One-month visits may be scheduled between April and June 2016. The European Data Laboratory for Comparative Social Research (EUROLAB) has an extensive collection of survey data (via the GESIS Data Archive). Successful applicants will receive a travel grant that covers travel costs (up to 450 Euro) plus accommodation. Details of access to micro data at the EUI are on this Library page.

EUROLAB Support for Research Data Missions

The closing-date for data mission support applications under the EUROLAB initiative, Cologne, is the 31st of May.  The following resources and support are provided: survey data access; research methodology support; statistical software; logistical support. The invitation covers “international comparative social research using survey data provided by the GESIS Data Archive for the Social Sciences… successful applicants will receive a travel grant that covers travel costs (economy class, up to €450) and accommodation.” Full details
