EUI members now have access to all Elsevier North-Holland Handbooks in Economics (1978-2015). The EUI Library also has paper versions of these 100 volumes. Heavily-used Handbooks in Economics are also available at the Villa San Paolo Library (on-site use only). EUI members can access full texts via the Library Catalogue and via the publishers’ index page (off-campus login required). A list of Economics Departmental course books – with links to eBooks – is on this Library page. “The Handbooks in Economics series provides the various branches of economics with definitive reference sources, suitable for use by professional researchers, advanced graduate students, or by those seeking a teaching supplement. With contributions from leading researchers in the field, each volume presents an authoritative, self-contained survey of the topic under examination.”
The Library now provides access to Oxford Handbooks Online in the EUI’s four primary disciplines: Economics, History, Law and Political Science. The Handbooks are edited collections on “current thinking on a field or topic, and make an original argument about the future direction of the debate.” New Handbooks in the four clusters will be available to EUI members as they are published. For the complete list of titles and full text access, open this Catalogue record. A list of Handbooks by discipline is at this link.
