Big Data Europe consortium launches Data Aggregator Platform

The BigDataEurope consortium has launched a Big Data Aggregator Platform to provide access to, and tools for, “multilingual data harvesting, data analytics, and data visualisation.” BigDataEurope is funded by the EU Horizon 2020 research and science funding initiative, and is composed of stakeholders from seven societal research clusters: health; food; energy; transport; climate; social sciences and security. Services include data storage, processing, analysis and publishing. The portal launch press release is available in English and German.

Easy dissemination of your H2020 project outputs

Just deposit your publication in Cadmus, EUI Research Repository, which is OpenAIRE compatible. Sharing information with OpenAIRE, allows Cadmus to link your publications with your project. In this way all your project publications will automatically appear in CORDIS system and will be reported automatically to the EC’s participant portal. How? Horizon 2020 Work Programme II funding breakout (2016-17) announced by European Commission

The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation published details of the €16 billion, second work programme of EU Horizon 2020 funding (2016-17) on 13 October. Full details of the Europe in a Changing World: inclusive, innovative and reflective societies tranche (Funding for Societal Challenges) have also been made available. The Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme was launched in 2014 with a total value of €77 billion.

Social Sciences and Humanities in EU Horizon 2020 funding programme

The November issue of the Issues newsletter from the EU Net4Society network, includes articles on ‘Monitoring the Integration of Social Sciences and Humanities in Horizon 2020’ and ‘From Idea to Call for Proposals: the Evolution of Horizon 2020 Work Programmes.’ Horizon 2020 is the EU Research & Innovation funding programme for 2014-2020. Library data management support for EUI Horizon 2020 project funding applicants

Horizon 2020 is the EU Research & Innovation funding programme, 2014-2020. EUI members who are preparing applications for Horizon 2020 funding will be required to submit general information on data management as part of their proposal. This will be evaluated by the EC under the criterion ‘impact.’ Social science and economic research projects are included in the ‘Societal Challenges’ cluster.
