240 responses were recorded, representing 12.6% of EUI members. The largest respondent groups were researchers (47%) and fellows (18%), while most respondents have been at EUI for over a year (65%). 36% visit the Library at least once a week, and 44% access online services daily.
The level of satisfaction is generally in line with those of the previous surveys. There is high satisfaction with print and eBook collections (77% of respondents are satisfied or very satisfied), whereas users highlighted gaps in the journal and eJournal collections, particularly in specialised and non-English resources.
Core services register high satisfaction with core library service, such as book delivery (91% satisfied or very satisfied), staff helpfulness (85% very satisfied) and borrowing and renewals processes. As far as the library environment and facilities are concerned, feedback is positive on workspace availability, but users raised issues with noise levels in shared spaces, Wi-Fi reliability and lack of HDMI-enabled screens and cleanliness and functionality of bathrooms.
Research support is generally appreciated, as respondents value library courses, personalized assistance, support with Open Access and the Cadmus, the EUI research repository and suggest more guidance for admin staff.
Finally, Library announcements are well received, though respondents request more engaging and streamlined content from EUI communications in general.
