Has in 2011 been appointed Jean Monnet Chair in EU Law at the Kyiv-Mohyla Acacemy, Ukraine and appointed as Head of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence in European Studies at the same institution.
Was appointed Professor in Early Modern Religious History at the KatholiekeUniversiteit Leuven.
