Congratulations to Elisa Chazal!
Our former co-convenor, Elisa Chazal, just defended her dissertation ‘The Industry of Anachronism: (Re)producing the Past in Immersive Historical Reconstructions in Fin-de-Siècle London, Vienna, Budapest and Paris‘ last week. Dr Chazal, with the wide range of items, museum collections, and ephemera she gathered for her dissertation, demonstrates how the material culture approach can provide unique and fundamental historical analysis.
Elisa was a cornerstone of the Working Group. She has an exceptional ability to bring people together and take care of everyone to make it work. She committed to all events and always provided insightful comments, thanks to her extensive knowledge of material culture history. The co-convenors are delighted to see her graduating with such praise from the jury members. She is now embarking on an outstanding career path, and we look forward to following her work.
Good luck Elisa, and thank you!
