Grappling with Things is back!
On Tuesday, Oct. 28th, we will take the time to introduce the researchers to the use of visual and material sources in historical research. The aim of this first gathering is to kick the year off through a reflection on methodological questions concerning the use of material and visual sources from all time periods. The workshop is open to everyone eager to learn how to use an image, object, photograph, poster, or film in historical research, how to build an argument based on visual material or an item preserved in a museum collection.
Grappling with Things is a series of workshops carried out every year since 2022, and held every month to provide researchers with support, guidance, and methodologies to address these research issues with images and objects.
