The first museum tour of the year, co-organised with the Environmental History Working Group!
We are pleased to invite you to an afternoon visit to the Museum of Anthropology and Ethnology in Florence on November 26th, where we will explore the intersections between environmental history and museological practices. This visit provides an opportunity to critically reflect on how museums construct and mediate narratives of nature, culture, and the environment through their curatorial practices and material collections. In preparation, we will circulate two short readings to frame our discussions and perspectives. Following the museum visit, we will gather for a coffee and conversation to share impressions and connect the experience to the readings.
